Last year, Mark Watson was in the Daily Telegraph’s ‘50 Funniest Comedians Of The 21st Century’. Not long afterwards, he feared for his life when a flight in Australia developed engine failure. The pilot got it down safely, and we’ll never know who would have got a promotion from number 51. At 30, Lauren Pattison (below, picture by Matt Crockett) wants to be less terrified of everything and embrace life more fully. The trouble is, a lot of things ARE scary: learning to drive, showing up for a colonoscopy, and pretty much everything in between. It’s a double whammy for Rob Auton though. He has just announced a stand-up special and also his biggest UK tour yet. If you don’t know Auton’s name you should know one of his jokes, which was an winner of the Dave Joke of the Fringe in 2013: "I heard a rumour that Cadbury is bringing out an oriental chocolate bar. The Bush Theatre is to stage An Evening with Sir Lenny Henry (pictured below, picture by Helen Murray) a fundraiser for the theatre which will take place at the venue on 25 January 2025. More info and ticket link here.
